Joke - Visiting Krakow

I visited Krakow a few weeks ago for some work-related co-operation with the lokal LGBT groups. They were doing a "Culture for tolerance" festival. Highlight of the program was the "March for tolerance" through the city of Krakow. There were a lot of international delegations of LGBT groups. Unfortunately Poland isn't very tolerant towards minorities like gay people. There was a demonstration of some 100 or so neo-nazis and other scum, shouting not-so-nice words, making vulgar gestures and throwing stones, eggs and garbage. We were lucky to have police protection.

Anyway, I took this picture of my female (and straight by the way) friend and collegue Joke (pronounce something like "yow-que"; it's a dutch name) in a nice bar somewhere in Krakow. I did some touching up (colors, lighting, some dodging, burning, smoothing, sharpening, ...) and I had a lot of fun exercising my skills.
